For product owners, QA teams, educational institutions and organisations preparing to improve an existing website or release a new digital experience.

What the service covers

Define the audit scope

Agree the pages, templates, critical user journeys, target WCAG version and conformance level, browsers and assistive technologies before testing starts.

Combine automation with human review

Use automated accessibility testing to identify detectable issues, then review keyboard interaction, focus, forms, content meaning and screen reader behaviour.

Document findings and evidence

Record the affected page or component, reproduction steps, relevant success criterion and practical fix guidance. Prioritise findings by user impact.

Retest the changes

Check the agreed fixes and record whether each finding is resolved, remains open or needs more evidence. Include regression checks for affected journeys.

What you receive

  • An agreed scope and testing approach.
  • A findings register with evidence, standards references and remediation guidance.
  • A prioritised summary for the team responsible for fixes.
  • Retest results for the changes covered by the engagement.

An automated scan alone cannot establish WCAG conformance. The audit evaluates the agreed scope and conditions; it is not a guarantee that every page, device or future change is accessible.

Questions before you start

Do you only run an automated WCAG checker?

No. Automated checks are one part of the workflow. The agreed manual review covers requirements that need human judgement, interaction testing or assistive technology.

Can you test with our existing accessibility tools?

Share your current tools, reports and workflow when requesting the audit. UCS can agree how existing evidence will be reviewed and which checks need to be repeated.

What should we send for a quotation?

Send the website URL, approximate page or template count, important user journeys, access requirements, target standard and delivery date. Do not email account passwords.

Share your requirements

Tell us about your content, target requirements and deadline. We will agree the scope and delivery approach before work starts.
